Outline

The purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage undergraduate coursework students who are considering honours and/or postgraduate research in the School of Risk and Actuarial Studies at UNSW in the future to participate in research projects and gain valuable research experience. The scholarship program will run for a six week period in the later part of Term 3, 2021.

Students are required to submit a scholarship application (attaching their CV and academic transcripts as one PDF file) along with the School of Risk and Actuarial Studies Undergraduate Research Scholarship Project Submission Form.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in the UNSW Business School.
  • Able to be engaged in a project on a full-time basis (35 hours/week for six weeks during normal working hours unless advised otherwise by the supervisor);
  • Projects must be focused on research-based activities (administration tasks are not regarded as research) and should be completed by the end of the six week period;
  • Selection

    Each applicant will be assessed on their ability to demonstrate:

    • Academic Merit; the minimum WAM required would typically be expected to be 75.
    • Aptitude and commitment to studies in a relevant area of research
