Outline

The purpose of these scholarships are to financially support outstanding future women leaders undertaking undergraduate study in any discipline.

Scholarship Value and Duration Eligibility
Gail Kelly Young Women Leaders Scholarship (UGCE1471)

$10,000 per annum for up to 4 years

  • Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders) or New Zealand Citizen

  • In 2023 must be commencing full-time undergraduate study in any UNSW undergraduate coursework degree program.

  • Must be female
Gail Kelly Young Women Leaders Scholarship (UGCE1472)

$10,000 per annum for the minimum remaining duration of their degree depending on your year of study

  • Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders) or New Zealand Citizen

  • Must be a current full-time undergraduate student in any UNSW undergraduate coursework degree program

  • In 2023 must be in one of the following stages of study in your program:

    • Second Year (Duration: Up to 3 years)

    • Penultimate Year (Duration: Up to 2 years)

    • Final Year (Duration: 1 year)

  • Must be female

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:
  • Academic Merit
  • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
  • A video submission addressing personal qualities such as: generosity of spirit, passionate for making a difference, courage, resilience, drive, love of learning (maximum 3 minutes)
  • Your written response to: In what way do you hope to make a leadership difference?  Why is it important to you?  How do you plan on getting there?

You must provide evidence supporting the above criteria in your online application. Please refer to the Scholarship Application Supporting Documents for a detailed list of examples.

Unanswered application questions or claims without supporting documentation will not be assessed. Late applications/supporting documentation will not be accepted.
