Outline
This Scholarship aims to assist students who are disadvantaged to undertake an undergraduate program at UNSW.
Eligibility
To be eligible, candidates must:
- Be Australia Citizens, Australian Permanent Resident (includes Humanitarian visa holders); and
- Recived an offer of admission into UNSW under the UNSW Access Scheme; and
- Be commencing a UNSW undergraduate program (single or dual); and
- Have applied through UAC for the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) application and demonstrate financial disadvantage
Selection
Candidates will be considered on the basis of their Educational Access Scheme application to UAC (University Admissions Centre) and Academic Merit (i.e. ATAR).
Each applicant must be experiencing financial disadvantage and will be assessed on their eligibility to demonstrate one or more of the following criteria:
- Indigenous Australian
- Disrupted Schooling
- Home environment and responsibilities
- Personal illness/disabilities
- Refugee status
- School Environment
The award of the Scholarship may not be deferred.
Applicants must submit a UAC Educational Access Scheme application by Thursday, 30 November 2017.
Interviews
Interviews are not required for this Scholarship.
