Outline

The Centre for Social Impact is grateful to its 2015 scholarship donors, who include Shark Island and AMP. Their generous support enables the study of social impact by applicants whose circumstances might otherwise have precluded them.

Scholarship applications for 2015 mid-year intake are now open.

Online applications close midnight, Sunday 28 June 2015.

Successful applicants will be notified by Monday 13 July 2015.

Available Scholarships for mid-year 2015 GCSI students

For the 2015 mid-year intake there are 6 Scholarships available:

  • 1 x $10,000 AMP Scholarship for an Indigenous student
  • 1 x $5,000 Shark Island Scholarship for a student working in the Arts
  • 4 x $5,000 CSI Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded based on the calibre of student applications in a given period. If suitable recipients are not identified scholarship funds may be reserved for future applicants.

How is the scholarship money applied?

The Centre for Social Impact apportions the total scholarship awarded equally across each of your courses to complete the Graduate Certificate in Social Impact. The scholarship recipient is required to pay the balance amount for each course based on their chosen university’s course fees.

Please note: If you are unable to fund your study without a scholarship, and you are not awarded one, you are under no obligation to proceed with study and you can withdraw or defer your university offer without financial or academic penalty.

Eligibility

Each year, the Centre for Social Impact (CSI) awards scholarships to students from the Graduate Certificate in Social Impact who:

  • Demonstrate potential for and commitment to leading, supporting or contributing to better social outcomes in the business, public and/or social purpose sectors in the past and future;
  • Have a need for and will benefit from the scholarship to enable their studies in social impact through the Graduate Certificate.

Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of merit (50%) and need (50%) criteria.
