Outline

This Award for final year Civil/Environmental engineering students comprises 12 weeks of work experience with GHD in the 2013 summer recess, followed by one year of scholarship payments in 2014. Payments for the work experience will be provided by GHD at the appropriate market rate.

The Award is open to full-time students who will be enrolling in their final year of study in 2014 in one of the following degrees:
.Bachelor of Civil Engineering (3620)
.Bachelor of Environmental Engineering (3625)
.Bachelor of Civil Engineering/Environmental Engineering (3631)

Students enrolled in a dual degree in combination with Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering are also eligible to apply providing they will be in their final year of study in 2014.

Related Scholarship: Applicants enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree who intend to major in Geotechnical Engineering in 2014 will automatically be considered for the GHD Geotechnics Geotechnical Award(UGCA1291). A separate application is not required.

Selection for both awards will be based on:
. academic merit;
. demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills;
. extra-curricular activities and leadership skills.

It is expected that the successful candidate will be intending to work as an engineer at the conclusion of their studies.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend for an interview.
