Outline
This Award for final year students comprises 12 weeks of work experience with GHD in the 2013 summer recess, followed by one year of scholarship payments in 2014. Paymens for the work experience will be provided by GHD at the appropriate market rate.
The award is open to full-time students who will be enrolling in their final year of study in 2014 in one of the following degrees, and who are intending to major in Geotechnical Engineering:
. Bachelor of Civil Engineering (3620)
. Bachelor of Civil Engineering/Environmental Engineering (3631)
Students undertaking a dual degree in Civil Engineering are also eligible to apply providing they will be in their final year of study in 2014.

Selection
Selection for both the GHD 'Richard Aplin' Award (UGCA1290) and the GHD Geotechnics Geotechnical Award (UGCA1291) will be based on:
. academic merit;
. demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills;
. extra-curricular activities and leadership skills.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend for interview.
