The Marcus Cohen Memorial Award was established to remember and celebrate the memory and ideology of Marcus Cohen, a passionate and gifted teacher who never tired of sharing the fruits of his knowledge, who inspired students to reach their goals and was an inspiration to them and to his fellow colleagues.

This award is intended to assist students undertaking the Strategic Management Year (SMY) of the AGSM MBA (Executive) Program at the UNSW Australia Business School.

The Award will normally have a value of $3,000 and be paid against tuition fees over the course of the program which is one year.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Gain acceptance into the Strategic Management Year (SMY) program in the AGSM MBA (Executive) program at the UNSW Australia Business School.

Selection

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:

• Academic merit - having achieved a minimum distinction grade in the course Managing People and Organisations and a minimum credit grade in at least one of the courses Foundations of Managerial Skills, Managing Change or Managerial Skills.
• The applicant will demonstrate how he or she has applied their learning from these subjects and distinguished themselves from their peers in employment, and in pro bono and/or charitable work.
