This Scholarship has been established to encourage Indigenous students to study Optometry and Vision Science at UNSW.

Eligibility

Selection

Applicants must be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander as identified by their community and must be commencing fulltime study in the Bachelor of Optometry / Bachelor of Science (BOptom / BSc) program at UNSW. The Scholarship will be tenable for the five years of the Bachelor of Optometry / Bachelor of Science (BOptom / BSc) program subject to the recipient maintaining a credit average. Scholarship holders will be required to submit a written report each year outlining the experience gained and benefits enjoyed while in receipt of the Scholarship. Each applicant will be assessed on the basis of academic merit and a statement outlining the reasons for the proposed study.
