Outline

The UNSW Music Scholarship was established to encourage high performing students to undertake the study of Music (single or dual degree program) in the School of the Arts & Media. The UNSW Bachelor of Music is a dynamic, contemporary program which provides the opportunity for students to push creative boundaries while pursuing artistic, academic and technical excellence in music performance, composition, research, sound arts or teaching.

Applicants must be currently undertaking an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate, (i.e. the HSC) or equivalent. Applicants who have completed their schooling in the previous two years are also eligible to apply provided they have not commenced any tertiary study in the meantime.

Applicants will be assessed on the following criteria:

  • Artistic ability and potential;
  • Academic merit (ATAR of 90 or above); and
  • Engagement in the study and practice of music during high school.
