Outline

The UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture Undergraduate Scholarships were established to enhance the opportunities of students to enrol in an undergraduate program of study within the UNSW Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture.

Scholarship Value and Duration Eligibility
NSW Chinese Community Endowed Scholarship at UNSW (UGCA1615)

$7,000 per annum for the duration of program

  • Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders) or New Zealand Citizen

  • Be commencing full-time undergraduate study in the Bachelor of Social Research and Policy.
STGA Endowed Undergraduate Scholarship in Education (UGCA1293)

$5,000 per annum for duration of program

  • Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders) or New Zealand citizen

  • Be commencing full-time undergraduate study in any Education undergraduate (single or double) program.
David McDowell Award (UGCE1070)

$6,000 for 1 year

  • Have completed the NSW HSC (or interstate equivalent) or IB in the previous two years prior to commencing at UNSW, provided no tertiary study was undertaken during this period; and

  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders)

  • Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (single or dual degree) in Social Sciences or Art & Design

  • Students must be from a rural or an isolated area of Australia*

    • *Check the Australian Standard Geographic Classification Remoteness Areas (ASGC-RA) system map to check your eligibility. All categories other than RA1 Major Cities of Australia are considered to be regional or remote with the exception of Hobart.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:
  • Academic Merit
  • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
  • Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
  • Aptitude and commitment to studies
