Outline
The John W. Kirkwood Memorial Scholarship was established to assist students who may be experiencing financial difficulty to undertake study in the Faculty of Law at UNSW.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents; and
- Be undertaking full-time study in any year of an undergraduate program in the Faculty of Law at UNSW;
- Have submitted a UAC Equity Scholarship application and demonstrate financial hardship
Selection
Candidates will be considered on the basis of their UAC Equity application.
Each applicant will be assessed on their ability to demonstrate financial hardship and one or more of the following criteria:
- Indigenous Australian
- Long-term medical condition/disability or ongoing affects of abuse
- Carer responsibilities
- Regional or remote disadvantages
- Refugee status
- Sole parent responsibilities
Consideration may also be given to academic merit.
Preference may be given to students who have not previously received assistance from the John W Kirkwood Scholarship.
Applicants must submit a UAC Undergraduate Equity Scholarship application by Wednesday, 13 December 2017.

Interviews are not required for this Scholarship
