Outline

The Elizabeth C. Ainsworth Scholarship was established to provide assistance to undergraduate students in the School of Social Work who are experiencing social and/or economic difficulties.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an Australian Citizen or Australia Permanent Resident
  • Be proposing/ or be enrolled in any year of a full-time undergraduate (single or dual) Social Work program at UNSW Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences

Selection

Candidates will be considered on the basis of their Equity Scholarship application to UAC (University Admissions Centre).

Each applicant will be assessed on their eligibility to demonstrate one or more of the following criteria:

  • Indigenous Australian
  • Long term medical condition/disability or ongoing affects of abuse
  • Carer responsibilities
  • Regional or remote disadvantages
  • Sole parent responsibilities
  • Financial hardship
  • Academic Merit may be considered
