Outline
The School of Chemical Engineering High Achiever Award was established to encourage high school leavers to enrol in either Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry in the School of Chemical Engineering.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
- Must have completed the NSW HSC (or interstate equivalent); or IB either:
- in the year prior to commencing study at UNSW, or
- in the previous two years prior to commencing at UNSW, provided no tertiary study was undertaken during this period.
- Be commencing a full-time undergraduate study in the Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) or Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial Chemistry) (single or dual) offered by the School of Chemical Engineering.
Note: Applicants commencing the Bachelor of Science (Food Science and Technology) are not eligible for this scholarship.
Selection
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:
- Academic merit (it is expected that applicants will have studied Mathematics Extension 1 and/or Extension 2, Chemistry and/or Physics)
- Demonstrated aptitude and interest in studying either Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry
You do not need to submit a Scholarship application to be considered for this Scholarship, offers will be made by UNSW to students based on Australian Year 12 results for students applying for admission via UAC commencing Term 1, 2022.
Interviews
Interviews are not required for this Scholarship.
