Outline
The purpose of this Scholarship is to remember the life and passion of Daniel Solomons. He had a sharp, analytical mind and a creative flair for writing. Daniel had dreams, which he chased with unwavering passion and determination.
The Daniel Solomons Memorial Scholarship will make the study of law accessible to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, allowing them to continue to value education, and have a passion for law and justice.
Eligibility
- Proposing to commence full-time undergraduate study in a combined Bachelor of Laws degree at UNSW
- Be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident
- Attain an HSC or equivalent score high enough to be eligible to enrol and be accepted into the combined Bachelor of Laws degree program at UNSW.

Selection
Candidates will be considered on the basis of their Educational Access Scheme application to UAC (University Admissions Centre).
Each applicant must be experiencing financial disadvantage and will be assessed on their eligibility to demonstrate one or more of the following criteria:
- Indigenous Australian
- Disrupted Schooling
- Home environment and responsibilities
- Personal illness/disabilities
- Refugee status
- School Environment
The award of the Scholarship may not be deferred.
Part 1: Applicants must have submitted an UAC Educational Access Scheme application by Friday 6th January 2017.
Part 2: Complete the UNSW Scholarships Application form by 31 March 2017.
Interviews
Interviews are not required for this Scholarship.
