Outline
The UNSW Equity Scholarship (Current Students) aims to support current students at UNSW who may be experiencing hardship due to their socioeconomic circumstances.
Eligibility
To be eligible, candidates must:
- Be Australia Citizens, Australian Permanent Resident visa holders or Australian Permanent Resident (Humanitarian visa holders); and
- Be enrolled in a UNSW undergraduate program (single or dual); and
- Have completed minimum of one (1) full semester (24 UoC); and
- Have applied through UAC for an Equity Scholarship
Selection
Candidates will be considered on the basis of their Equity Scholarship application to UAC (University Admissions Centre).
Each applicant will be assessed on their eligibility to demonstrate one or more of the following criteria:
- Financial hardship
- Indigenous Australian
- Long term medical condition/disability or ongoing effects of abuse
- Carer responsibilities
- Regional or remote disadvantages
- Refugee status
- Sole parent responsibilities
The award of the Scholarship may not be deferred.
Applicants must submit a UAC Undergraduate Equity Scholarship application by Wednesday, 13 December 2017
Successful applicants will be notified of their outcome during the UAC Equity Scholarship Offer Rounds.
Interviews
Interviews are not required for this Scholarship.
