UNSW offers a wide range of scholarships and awards to support international undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students commencing full-time study at UNSW. Some scholarships will provide a full or partial tuition fee payment, while others provide a stipend to assist with the costs associated with your studies. Students wishing to undertake postgraduate research study should contact the Graduate Research School.

Scholarships & Awards that require an Application

By submitting an application for the UNSW Scholarships for International Students Commencing Term 3, 2023 (PUCA1029) you may be considered for the scholarships listed in the below table. More scholarships may be progressively added to this list.

To apply for PUCA1029, please register an account in the Scholarship Application Online portal, or if you have already created an account, log in and submit your application. You can also access the Scholarship Application Online portal using the Register and Login buttons on the right side of this page.

UNSW Hong Kong Alumni Scholarship (UGCA1603)	$10,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program	Be an international student, who is a resident of Hong Kong at the time of application Be commencing full-time study in a UNSW undergraduate coursework degree program (excluding UNSW Canberra) in Term 3, 2023
UNSW Arts, Design and Architecture International Postgraduate Scholarship (PGCA1098)	$10,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program	Be commencing full-time study in a UNSW Arts, Design and Architecture postgraduate coursework degree program in Term 3, 2023
Lily and Dr Ben KC Chng Scholarship (UGCE1129)	$5,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program	Be an international student, who is a citizen of Singapore at the time of application. Be commencing full-time study in a UNSW School of Built Environment undergraduate coursework degree program in Term 3, 2023. Hold a diploma or equivalent course of at least 2 years credit from one of the following institutions: Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic.
UNSW Law & Justice International Award (PUCA1028)	$10,000 paid directly towards tuition fees for 1 year	Be commencing full-time study in a UNSW Law and Justice undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program (LLB, JD or LLM programs) in Term 3, 2023
UNSW Business School International Pathways Award (PUCA1023)	$15,000 paid directly towards tuition fees for 1 year	Must have a Masters articulation pathway qualification from an approved partner institution prior to commencing study at UNSW; and Be commencing full-time study in a UNSW Business School postgraduate (Master) coursework degree program (excluding any program offered by AGSM) in Term 3, 2023
UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture GEMS Education International Award (UGCA1644)	$10,000 paid directly towards tuition fees for 1 year	Be commencing in an eligible UNSW degree program; and Provide evidence of graduation from a GEMS Education School

Additional Eligibility Criteria

Must be an international student; and
Have received an offer of admission* into an eligible program for Term 3 2023 by 31 July 2023.

Undergraduate or postgraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional)
Undergraduate or postgraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC) - students must be enrolled in the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program prior to commencing in Term 3 2023.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:

Academic merit
Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
Reasons for undertaking studies at UNSW

Unanswered application questions or claims without supporting documentation will not be assessed. Late applications/supporting documentation will not be accepted.

Scholarships & Awards that do not require an Application

Eligible students who have received an offer of admission to UNSW will be automatically considered for the scholarships and awards listed in the table below. You do not need to submit any specific scholarship application or additional supporting documentation to be considered.

The scholarships and awards listed below will be automatically offered to eligible students on the basis of academic merits highlighted in the application for admission to UNSW.

Australia's Global University Award (PUCA1026)	Offer: $10,000 for 1 year. Payment will be made towards tuition fees in the student's second term of the first year of study	Be an international student commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program (excluding UNSW online and UNSW Canberra) in Term 3, 2023.
UNSW Global Academic Award (PUCA1027)	Offer: $10,000 for 1 year. Payment will be made towards tuition fees in the student's second term of the first year of study	Must be completing a UNSW Global Foundation Studies program (in Sydney or off-shore) Be an international student commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW undergraduate coursework program (excluding UNSW Canberra) in Term 3, 2023.
Future of Change Scholarship (UGCE1283)	$10,000 p.a. paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program	Be a citizen of India, and not a permanent resident of Australia Must be residing in India, prior to commencing study at UNSW for undergraduate applicants. Postgraduate applicants may have prior residence in Australia; and Be commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program (excluding UNSW online and UNSW Canberra) in Term 3, 2023.
Future of Change Schools Excellence Bursary (UGCA1594)	$10,000 p.a. paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program	Be a citizen of India, and not a permanent resident of Australia Must be residing in India, prior to commencing study at UNSW for undergraduate applicants. Postgraduate applicants may have prior residence in Australia; and Be commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program (excluding UNSW online and UNSW Canberra) in Term 3, 2023.
UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture Global Academic Scholarship (UGCA1820)	$10,000 p.a. paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program	Must be completing a UNSW Global Foundation Studies program (in Sydney or off-shore). Be an international student commencing full-time study in a UNSW undergraduate coursework program offered by the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture in Term 3, 2023.
UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture International Articulation Scholarship (UGCA1819)	$10,000 p.a. paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program	Must have undertaken an undergraduate articulation pathway qualification from an approved Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture partner institution. Be an international student commencing full-time study in a UNSW undergraduate coursework degree program offered by the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture in Term 3, 2023.
UNSW Articulation Scholarships (UGCA1815, UGCA1816, UGCA1817, UGCA1818, UGCA1822)	$5,000 p.a. paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program	Must have undertaken an undergraduate articulation pathway qualification from one of the following approved partner institutions: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TI) Christ University (CU) Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) SVKM's NMIIMS University Be an international student commencing full-time study in a UNSW undergraduate coursework program offered by the Faculty of Engineering in Term 3, 2023.
China Institution Mining Engineering Scholarship (UGCA1586)	$5,000 p.a. paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program	Must have undertaken an undergraduate articulation pathway qualification from one of the following approved partner institutions: China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) China University of Mining and Technology, Beijing (CUMTB) University of Science and Technology, Beijing (USTB) Northeastern University (NEU) Be an international student commencing full-time study in the UNSW Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)(Mining) offered by the Faculty of Engineering in Term 3, 2023.

Other International Scholarship Opportunities

International Student Award

The International Student Award is available to eligible new students commencing in 2023 and provides a 15% contribution towards tuition fees for the duration of program.

Students will be considered for this Award when applying for admission to UNSW, and if eligible, will be invited to submit a brief statement about their motivation to study at UNSW.
