Outline

The Scholarship is for students, both male and female, with an outstanding ability in football (i.e. soccer) to undertake undergraduate study at UNSW and play for the UNSW Football Club (UNSW FC).

One scholarship will be awarded to a female player, and one to a male player.

The scholarship recipients will be expected to be active members of the UNSW Football Club while in receipt of the scholarship.

There are no residency requirements.

The recipients will be permitted to hold another scholarship or award.

Eligibility

Selection

Applicants must be enrolled or proposing to enrol in a full-time undergraduate program of at least two years duration.

Applicants must have an outstanding ability in football and have a proven record as a player, and preferably a record of service to the UNSW Football Club.

Each applicant will be assessed on the basis of his/her football ability, including previous youth league, representative, regional, state or national participation as well as the school and club team level at which the player has previously played and currently plays.

Consideration will also be given to the applicant's previous and potential contribution to the UNSW Football Club.

Other considerations may include academic merit, demonstrated leadership qualities and the potential to contribute to the wider life of the University.
