Outline
The NSW Surveyor General Undergraduate Award was established to support students entering the final year of their undergraduate degree in Surveying or Geoinformation Systems.
Internship opportunity
In addition to receiving the scholarship payments the successful recipient may be invited to undertake industrial training with Land & Propery Information (LPI) over the summer vacation period prior to their final year of study.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be an Australia Citizens, Australian Permanent Resident visa holders or Australian Permanent Resident (Humanitarian) visa holders; and
- Be entering their fourth year of the Bachelor of Engineering in Surveying or Geospatial Engineering program at the UNSW Kensington Campus; and
Students enrolled in a dual degree are also eligible to apply, providing they are entering their final year of undergraduate study.
Rural students are strongly encouraged to apply.
Selection
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:
- Academic merit
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in surveying or geoinformation systems
- Interest in participating in LPI surveying and spatial information projects
Interviews
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview.
