Outline

The Bega Award in Civil Engineering aims to encourage students to undertake the Bachelor of Engineering Civil Engineering degree at UNSW.



How to Apply

To be considered for this Scholarship, applicants must apply for and submit a UAC Educational Access Scheme application by Thursday 30 November 2017.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident; and
  • Have completed the NSW HSC (or interstate equivalent) or IB, either:
    • in the year prior to commencing study at UNSW, or
    • in the previous two years prior to commencing at UNSW, provided no tertiary study was undertaken during this period.
  • Be commencing full-time study in the Bachelor of Civil Engineering

    • Selection

    Applicants will be assessed on:

    • Demonstrating financial hardship
    • In addition one or more of the following disadvantages may be considered:
      • Disrupted schooling
      • Refugee Status
      • Personal Illness / Disability
      • School Environment
      • Home environment and responsibilities

    • Academic Merit may also be considered

    Interviews

    Interviews are not required for this Scholarship.
