Outline

The Vice-Chancellor's Equity Scholarship aims to assist students who are financially and educationally disadvantaged to undertake full-time undergraduate study at UNSW.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents (including Australian Humanitarian Visa Holders); and
  • Be commencing their first year of study in an undergraduate degree program at UNSW; and
  • Have submitted a UAC Equity Scholarship application and demonstrate financial hardship and at least one other educational disadvantage

Selection

Candidates will be considered on the basis of their UAC Equity application.

Each applicant must be experiencing low socioeconomic circumstances and will be assessed on their ability to demonstrate financial hardship and one or more of the following criteria:

  • Indigenous Australian
  • Long-term medical condition/disability or ongoing effects of abuse
  • Carer responsibilities
  • Regional or remote disadvantages
  • Refugee status
  • Sole parent responsibilities

Applicants must submit a UAC Undergraduate Equity Scholarship application by Wednesday, 13 December 2017.

Interviews

Interviews are not required for this Scholarship.
