Outline
The UNSW Aspire Scholarships are provided to encourage students who have attended an Aspire High School to undertake study at UNSW.
Eligibility
To be eligible, candidates must:
- Be Australia Citizens, Australian Permanent Resident visa holders or Australian Permanent Resident (Humanitarian visa holders); and
- Be commencing a UNSW undergraduate program (single or dual) in an faculty; and
- Have applied through UAC for the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) application and demonstrate financial disadvantage; and
- Must have attended an Aspire High School.
Selection
Candidates will be considered on the basis of their Educational Access Scheme application to UAC (University Admissions Centre).
Each applicant must be experiencing financial disadvantage and will be assessed on their eligibility to demonstrate one or more of the following criteria:
- Indigenous Australian
- Disrupted Schooling
- Home environment and responsibilities
- Personal illness/disabilities
- Refugee status
- School Environment
The award of the Scholarship may not be deferred.
Applicants must submit a UAC Educational Access Scheme application by Friday 6th January 2017.
Interviews
Interviews are not required for this Scholarship.
