Outline

It is intended that the Overseas Short Term Study Scholarship (Law) will contribute to the cost of the recipient student’s expenses such as accommodation and transport for short term overseas study. It is also intended that recipients will gain the benefit of career-related skills through these experiential learning programs. Courses are held in the July 2014 semester break.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be:

  1. Australian citizens or Permanent Residents; and
  2. Enrolled full-time (undergraduate/postgraduate) at UNSW in either a JD or LLB program intending to apply for an overseas short term study course.

Selection

Each applicant will be assessed on academic merit and a statement outlining why the student wants to undertake the overseas short term study course including the benefits that such a course would offer to the student. Consideration will also be given to demonstrated financial or socioeconomic need. Indigenous students are encouraged to apply.

Applicants for the scholarship MUST have applied for the New York Summer School and/or Shanghai Summer School offered by the Law Faculty.
