Outline
The Henry Salisch SPE Award in Petroleum Engineering was established to encourage and assist high achieving students entering Year 2 of the Bachelor of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be an Australian Citizen or have Permanent Resident status; and
- Be enrolled full-time in Year 2 of their Petroleum Engineering (single or dual degree); and
- Have a minimum current WAM of 65 with no fail grades.
- Applications will also be accepted from students enrolled full-time in another undergraduate engineering degree (single or dual) who intend to transfer to Petroleum Engineering in Year 2.
Selection
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:
- Academic merit
- Aptitude and commitment to studies in Petroleum Engineering
- Personal qualities, for example involvement in extra-curricular activities, evidence of leadership skills and involvement in the wider life of UNSW.
