Outline

Over the past three years, McKenna Bespoke Development & Facilitation has awarded a coaching prize in conjunction with the UNSW undergraduate women’s organisation Capital W.

The McKenna Bespoke Development & Facilitation Career Coaching Award was established to a female undergraduate student in her final year of a single or combined degree with high level, as well as practical, support and guidance during her transition from UNSW to professional life. This includes navigating the workplace, enhancing skills that support career development and building professional confidence.

The Award is to be offered early 2016, with the coaching/mentoring to take place in 2016 as agreed by the Sponsor and recipient.

The recipient will receive an Award of $1,000, and may also be offered one on one coaching/mentoring sessions with McKenna Bespoke Development & Facilitation over a six to eight month period following graduation from UNSW. These meetings will be agreed between the Sponsor and the recipient.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Award, the applicant must:

  • be a female who completed undergraduate studies at UNSW in 2015;
  • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident; and
  • have secured a permanent role as a graduate in her chosen discipline and be ready to commence work in 2016.

Selection

Each applicant will be assessed on the basis of academic merit and leadership qualities.

Candidates will also be assessed on their potential to benefit from and actively participate in a professional coaching/mentoring relationship of the kind contemplated by the Award. Financial need may also be taken into consideration.

Preference will be given to students who are the first generation in their family to attend university.
